DO THEY STILL USE FREON?

The new hvac systems are an environmentally friendly refrigerant R410A (slang is freon), the not so friendly freon is R22 which production has cut back by %60 and in 2020 they completely stop producing it. Ordered by the EPA.

DO THEY STILL MAKE INEFFICIENT HEATING AND AC SYSTEMS?

No they don't. Even the bare minimum efficiency air conditioning systems they manufacturer are at least %40 more efficient than a 10+ year old system. There is a whole line up of super efficient systems that we install.

WHAT DOES SEER MEAN?

SEER stands for seasonal energy efficiency ratio. This is a form of measurement of how high the efficiency is of and AC system, the higher the number, the more efficient it is. The minimum efficiency they make today is 13 SEER and goes as high as 21 SEER. Typical 10+ year old systems are 8-10 SEER, the difference from 8 SEER to 13 SEER is approximately %40 more efficient.

HOW LONG DOES A TYPICAL INSTALLATION TAKE TO INSTALL?

Simple change out of your existing system to a new system takes 1 day. Additional ducting, zoning and new construction may take longer.

IS THERE AIR PURIFICATION SYSTEMS TO CONTROL CORONAVIRUS/ COVID-19?

There are many options to choose from, we use the latest technology Air Purification Systems on the market. We choose to install the Trane Clean Air Effects, the Nu-Calgon iWave ionizing System, the Aprilaire 5000 Air Purification System and the Air Scrubber By AERUS.

DO THEY MAKE A BIGGER SYSTEM THAN 5 TONS FOR RESIDENTIAL APPLICATIONS?

No they do not, the maximum HVAC tonnage for residential systems is 5 tons which is 2000 CFM. Bigger homes typically have more than one system.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL WARRANTY ON A NEW HVAC SYSTEM?

We use the most reliable system on the market which is TRANE and it comes with a 10 year warranty. We also install all other brands which come with a 5-10 year warranty.
